In a statement signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Presidency, it was announced that the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih will take on the role of Upper East Regional Minister, while the Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu, will assume the role of Upper West Regional Minister.
“Effectively, immediately, the Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Stephen Yakubu, will assume the role of Upper West Regional Minister. Similarly, the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, will become the new Upper East Regional Minister,” the statement reads in part.
“These changes are part of President Akufo-Addo’s ongoing efforts to ensure effective governance across the country, and he has tasked the Ministers to work tirelessly to promote the welfare and development of the people of the Upper West and Upper East regions, respectively.”
Dr Hafiz Bin Salih was appointed the Upper West Regional Minister in August 2018 by President Akufo-Addo after the reassignment of Mr Alhassan Suleman.
