The District Chief Executive for Lambussie, Mr Naluri George Gerard, is calling on both local and foreign investors to explore the numerous economic prospects in the area.

He mentioned that the people in the district are generally business-oriented, especially the women.

According to Mr Naluri, after the harvesting season, women in the district typically produce shea butter and other products to generate income.

To support these businesses, the district assembly has offered financial aid to 56 women groups, providing each group with an amount of GHC1000.00 as a revolving fund.

Mr Naluri highlighted that groundnut is a potential crop that does very well in the district, with guinea corn and animal rearing also being promising investment opportunities.

Mr Naluri further added that the district has a groundnut processing factory, and the contractors have recently come to extend electricity to the site.

Although the building is complete, the installation of machines is still pending.

Speaking to Info Radio in Lambussie, the DCE emphasized that groundnut farming is a lucrative investment opportunity that can generate a significant amount of profit for investors.
