Residents of Kpare -Jinpensi in the Chala electoral area of the Daffiama- Bussei- Issa District have lamented about the unavailability of a dam in the community.
They noted that the lack of a dam affects agricultural activities in the community, particularly dry-season farming.
Speaking to Info Radio in the community, Mr Mahamadu Fuseini, the 2023 district best farmer, stated that the lack of a dam affects animal rearing in the community. He said their animals stress to get water to drink during the dry season.
He also lamented that the unavailability of the dam affected dry season farming, which could serve as a source of revenue generation for the residents.
“Not having a dam in this community is a big challenge for us. Even our animals cannot get water to drink during the dry season. The only valleys that hold water for our usage are filling up with sand due to the activities of herdsmen,” Mr Fuseini explained.
