Chief of Bultuo appealed for completion of 3-Unit classrooms

The Chief of Bultuo in the Eggu Electoral Area of the Wa West District, Naa Abubarkar Alhassan, has appealed to the stakeholders in the district to help complete a 3-unit classrooms project initiated by the community.

According to the chief, they started building the classrooms but it has come to a halt due to lack of funding.

Speaking during the Tiyiriyela Timaaleyiri festival held at Bultuo, Naa Alhassan lamented about their children who have to abandon schooling during the rainy season because of the distance they have to trek and the rivers they have to cross to other communities to access formal education.

Madam Dora Kwame, a resident of the community also lamented that their children have to leave lessons in search for water to drink because there is no water source at the school.

The Assembly Member for the area, Mr Ephraim Dassah, decried the deplorable state of the only KG block in the community.

He also talked about the inadequate furniture and lack of feeding at the school.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Madam Vida Diorotey, assured that the Assembly will procure furniture for the school.
