BECE Results Improve Massively in DBI District- Imoro Sanda boasts

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa (DBI), Mr Nadi Imoro Sanda, says the performance of students in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), has improved massively in his district in recent times.

Speaking to Info Radio, Mr Sanda noted that the DBI district used to record low performance in the BECE.

“In 2017 the performance of the district in the BECE was 32 percent. Few years back the performance was 28 percent. The district was recording 16 to 17 percent in the BECE.

But when the NPP came into power in our first year, the district recorded 42 percent pass in the BECE. The district recorded 62 percent pass in the last examination,” Mr Sanda added.

He further mentioned that his commitment to education in the district has been exemplary.

As a DCE once in a while “I go to the schools to give the children encouragement especially when they are about to take their exams”.

Mr Sanda advanced that it took him less than a year after his appointment to build a Junior High School block for Balienie, a community in the district.
