The Vice president of Ghana Dr. Mahamud Bawumia is consolidating massive power within the rank and file of the New Patriotic Party in the Upper West Region ahead of the NPP presidential primaries scheduled for November, 2023.
Though yet to make official announcement regarding his quest to lead the NPP in the upcoming 2024 presidential, tactics used by Dr. Mahamud Bawumia to lead the party is evident for all to see.
The minister of Interior and MP for Nandom constituency honorable Ambrose Dery who is one of the most influential NPP politicians from the Upper West Region and a staunched member of the Bawumia team donated 2 brand New Mitsubishi L 200 pick-up vehicles to 2 important wing of the NPP in the Upper West Region to do the bidding for Dr. Mahamud Bawumia ahead of the NPP presidential primaries.
The youth and women wings of the New Patriotic Party in the Upper West Region were the recipients of the two pick-up vehicles. With the two most important wings of the NPP in the Upper West Region resourced with mobility , one can easily say ,The 'Bawumia Factor' will not only be a rhetoric, but a reality.
According to Info Radio Checks, Almost all party executives from the regional to the constituencies and government appointees in the region are rooting for Bawumia to lead the NPP in the 2024 elections.
Presenting the two pick-up vehicles to the party youth and women wings leaders, the Interior minister said ' he has from far seen how well the youth and the women wing have dedicated so much to the service of the party in the region and added that the vehicle presented to them will enable the two wings of the party have smooth mobility to the various constituencies for party activities. Hon. Ambrose Dery also encouraged both the youth and women wing of the party to continue to work hard to enable the party break the 8.
