Takora Attawa-Konta Electoral Area Assembly Member

The Assembly Member for Konta Electoral Area in the Wa Municipality, Madam Takora Attawa, has indicated that being an Assembly Members is a voluntary service to the community.

In an interview with Info Radio, she expressed her ambition to lead the Konta Electoral Area for a second term in the assembly.

According to her she joined the race in 2019 with a clear understanding of the works and responsibilities of an assembly member and has since served the electoral area with diligence.

Madam Attawa explained that the primary role of an assembly member is to lobby for development in their respective electoral area.

She started working towards this goal even before she was elected to lead, citing the cleaning and renovation of the electoral area's toilet facility as an example.

She mentioned that she has brought several interventions to the Konta Electoral Area since she became the Assembly member.

Some of these interventions include free health insurance renewal, provision of streetlights, and repair of broken-down boreholes for the people in the area.
