The Wa police was led to exhume an unidentified dead body in Wa on Sunday.
A family search team from Wa- Charia who lost a relative a week ago was in search of their missing relative when they came across a spot where they suspected something had been buried.
The police were subsequently informed about the discovery where a police team led the family to exhume a dead body.
The body which was exhumed near Blue Hills Hotel in Wa- Bamahu was wrapped in a cloth and was buried shallowly.
Led by the police investigation team, the exhumed body was taken to the hospital for autopsy. It is however not clear which among the missing three security men has been discovered in the recently discovered shallow grave.
But a family member from Wa-Kpongu, home of of the latest missing security man Mr. Seidu Dakpuli in Wa disclosed to Info Radio that, the discovered body is that of their missing brother .
According to eye witnesses, the spot where the body was exhumed had a semblance of a ritual cult scene.
Some items of spiritual essence were buried by the killers near the spot where the body was buried and some sort of cooking was done by the perpetrators close to the spot.
Background
It can be recalled that, since the beginning of the year, Wa has recorded a number of strange targeted killings of night security men (Watchmen). Seven security men have so far been killed and three missing without a trace.
The police has since many of these incidences not arrested a single suspect in relation to these heinous crimes.
The ineffectiveness of the police in finding the perpetrators of the acts have angered many residents who think the police are out of touch with the realities.
This prompted mass protest by residents of Wa on Saturday and Sunday in some major streets of Wa where some shops belonging to Nigerians were vandalized.
Meanwhile, the Regional Security Council has outlined some measures to avert the situation in the municipality.
About 350 police personnel according reports have also been deployed to Wa to help provide maximum security to residents.
