Alois Kog Kyaakpier Mohl to Contest NPP Primaries in Nandom

A Social Development Consultant and former Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Social Investment Fund (SIF), Mr Alois Kog Kyaakpier Mohl, has declared his intention to contest the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Primaries of the Nandom Constituency.

Mr Kyaakpier made the declaration in a statement copied to Info Radio in Wa.

The statement said he is contesting the parliamentary primaries to be voted for and for him to represent the party as the next NPP Parliamentary candidate for Nandom.


He indicated that his decision is after broad consultation with the rank and file of the party, the council of elders, patrons, the national and regional executives, the constituency and polling station executives, the party faithful, the teeming youth and the grassroots, stakeholders, chiefs, clergy, and my family.

Mr Kyaakpier said in the statement that it has become a necessity to answer the calls to offer new and people-centred leadership, and to retool Nandom as once socially inclusive.

Mr. Kyaakpier has over 30 years of experience in the public service and held various positions some of which include, Head of Desk of International Social Services (ISS) of the Department of Social Welfare at the Headquarters from 2002 to 2011.

He was Deputy Director and Head of the Desk of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Manpower Development from 2011 to 2013 and also the Deputy Director and National Coordinator of Care Reforms of Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection from 2013 to 2015.
