Adam Masahudu is retained as the Assembly Member for the Kambali Electoral Area


Kambali Assembly Member

Electorates of the Kambali Electoral Area in the Wa Municipality have retained the incumbent Assembly Member of the area, Mr Masahudu Adam as the Assembly Member of the area for a second term in the just-ended District Level Elections.


Mr Adam, popularly known as “Jabagdao” garnered 947 votes out of a total of 1,452 valid votes cast to beat his sole contender, Madam Sarah Faata who had 505 votes, with 11 rejected ballots.


Mr Alhassan Shaban Mohammed, the returning officer for the Kambali Electoral Area, announced the results at about 1807 HRS on Tuesday and declared Mr Adam as the Assembly Member-elect for the area.


Mr Adam will be assisted by Mr Daud Waahu Nuhu, Mr Fuseini Borri, Mr Majeed Abdullah, Mr Nuhu Osman and Mr Gaaware Tofic as the Unit Committee Members of the Kambali Electoral Area for the next four years.


Speaking to Info Radio in Kambali after the declaration of the results, Mr Adam Masahudu expressed gratitude to the electorates for reposing confidence in him by giving him another four-year term mandate to represent the electoral area at the Wa Municipal Assembly.


He identified the fight against drug abuse among the youth in the area as a major intervention he would pursue within the next four years.
