Abu Kansangbata, a former Upper West Regional Deputy Minister, has donated 50 dual desks to Tabiasi E/A Kindergarten and Primary School. The contribution aims to address the critical shortage of furniture, particularly at the kindergarten level, where some pupils have been compelled to write on the floor due to inadequate seating arrangements.
During the presentation ceremony, Mr. Kansangbata emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in supporting education within the district. He highlighted that providing a conducive learning environment is essential for nurturing the future leaders of society. “Supporting education is a shared duty, and we must work together to improve teaching and learning conditions for our children,” he stated.
The District Chief Executive for Daffiama–Bussie–Issa, James Wor, commended Mr. Kansangbata for his timely intervention. He noted that the donation would alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by the District Assembly and the local community. Additionally, Mr. Wor revealed that the former deputy minister plans to extend similar support to other schools in Kojokperi, Bussie, and Daffiama.
Ponnaa Saadia Abodo, District Director of Education, expressed gratitude for the donation, describing it as timely and impactful. She explained that the lack of proper desks hampers both teaching and learning, discouraging students and teachers alike. “Providing adequate furniture is crucial to fostering an effective learning environment, and this contribution will go a long way in supporting our educational goals,” she said.
