The items included assortments of mathematical sets, pens, pencils and erasers.

Pupils of the Zingu M/A and Gbegruu Islamic Junior High Schools who are scheduled to sit for this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) received mathematical sets and pens.

Pupils of the Gbegruu Islamic Primary School also received pens, pencils and erasers from the package.

According to the Assembly Member, these were to help the pupils prepare for the exams in terms of items they would need to prepare.

He said it was also to augment the efforts of parents and guardians in providing for the needs of their wards.

The donation has been a routine gesture by Mr Abdul Wahab Nuhu since his assumption of office in 2020 under his educational support initiative.

Speaking to pupils during the donation exercise, the Assembly Member admonished the BECE candidates to put in their best efforts and belief in themselves as they go to write so as to come out with flying colours.

Mr Nuhu also advised the candidates to eschew all forms of examination malpractices, and any ideations of same, during the examination period.

At the Gbegruu Primary School, the Assembly Member advised the pupils to be disciplined and avoid absenteeism and other deviant behaviours that could backtrack their educational ambitions and pursuits.

He encouraged pupils within the electoral area to aspire to attain great heights in their educational and occupational dispensations.

The pupils and teachers of the beneficiary schools were full of gratitude for the noble gesture by the Assembly Member.

They promised to put the items to good use in ensuring that the best academic feats are attained.
