The President of the Wala Traditional Council and Overlord of the Wala Traditional Area, Wa-Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, has congratulated the Upper West Regional Minister-Designate, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih on his re-nomination by the President of the Republic.
The Overlord, in a letter dated March 3, 2021, stated that, "for most of us in the Wala Traditional area in particular and the Upper West Region in general, your re-nomination to the position did not come as a surprise, we expected nothing less."
He praised the first term of the Minister saying that it was characterized by hard work and selfless commitment to duty.
"Those of us who interacted with you both formally and informally can testify that you performed your duties with dedication and passion scarcely seen these day," the Wa-Naa has stated.
He reckoned that the humility and approachable nature of the Minister has endeared to all who have partnered him in the development of the region.
He further noted that the broad consultative style adopted by the Minister had given ample opportunity to chiefs, tendeme, religious leaders and the generality and of the people to contribute their quotas to the development of the region. He added that, the Minister had ensured that "all concerned were always abreast with what is happening around them."
While the Wa-Naa hailed the Minister on his re-nomination, he said "it is the right decision as you actually earned it."
The Wa-Naa therefore hoped that the Vetting Committee of parliament gives Dr Hafiz Bin Salih the greenlight to enable him take up from where he left "to continue with the good works for the Upper West Region."
The Overlord of the Wala Traditional Council expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo for his foresight in making Dr Hafiz Bin Salih the Regional Minister during his first term of presidency and re-nominating him for his second term of office.
He thus assured the President of his full co-operation with Dr Hafiz Bin Salih in his second term of office.
Dr Hafiz Bin Salih, the Upper West Regional Minister-Designate will later today, March 5, 2021 meet the Appointments Committee of parliament to be vetted and subsequently approved as minister of the region.
