Wa Municipal Assembly takes measures to improve business operations at the Wa Central Market

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Wa, Mr Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Moomin, says the assembly has taken appropriate development measures to improve the daily economic activities of business operators at Wa Central Market.

The Wa MCE recently spoke to Info Radio about the measures taken by the Assembly to improve the economic activities of business operators at Wa Central Market.

He mentioned that the Assembly has developed the infrastructure at the market to provide a better place for businesswomen and men to operate, with a significant number of businesses being owned by women.

Additionally, he disclosed that some of the stores at the old market were built by the market women themselves, and they will operate in these stores for 30 years.

Mr Moomin clarified that shop owners are only required to renew their business operating permit annually and will not be required to pay rent to the Assembly.

The interventions taken in the Wa Central market have benefited many business people in the area and have been well received by the businesswomen and men, Mr Moomin added.

Alhaji Moomin explained that business owners are satisfied with the developments in both the old and new markets in the Wa Municipality, demonstrating that the Assembly has taken appropriate measures to improve the daily economic activities of the business operators at the Wa Central Market.
