Senior Victory College Wins Maiden GNAPS Inter-School Quiz in Wa

Senior Victory College in the Upper West Region has emerged as the winner of the maiden Inter-School Quiz Competition organized by the Wa Municipal branch of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS).
The competition, which brought together 15 schools out of the 50 private schools under GNAPS in the Wa Municipality, was aimed at promoting academic excellence and preparing students for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
After keen competition, five schools qualified for the grand finale. They were Senior Victory College, Tender Care Proprietary School, Dan Ibu International School, FIC St. Louis, and Wa International School.

Senior Victory College clinched first place with 148 points, narrowly beating Tender Care Proprietary School, which placed second with 147 points. Dan Ibu International School secured third position with 141 points, while FIC St. Louis and Wa International School placed fourth and fifth with 135 and 115 points respectively.
Speaking at the event, the Wa Municipal Chairman of GNAPS, Mr. Sulemana Mumuni, said the quiz was designed to assess students’ level of preparedness ahead of the BECE.
He noted that the initiative also encourages both teachers and students to engage more effectively with past examination questions and improve teaching and learning outcomes.

The Housemaster of FIC St. Louis, Mr. Albert Kangou, has commended the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) for organizing the inter-schools quiz.
He said the initiative will greatly assist teachers in preparing students adequately for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), adding that the quiz exposes students to examination formats and strengthens their confidence ahead of the exams.
The successful organization of the maiden quiz marks a significant step by GNAPS Wa Municipal towards strengthening academic standards among private schools in the municipality.
