Senior Prefect of Valley View University Basic School Donates Sporting Materials to School

The Senior School Prefect of the Valley View University Basic School Complex in Techiman, in the Bono East Region, Master John Akarep Junior, has donated sporting materials to the school in fulfillment of his manifesto promise.
The items, which included skipping ropes and footballs, were to help promote sporting activities in the school and to afford the school children the opportunity to engage in keep-fit exercises at school.
While handing over the items, Master Akparep Junior reiterated his commitment to fulfilling his promises spelt out in his manifesto which won him the power.
He, among other things, promised in his campaign manifesto to provide football for all classes, distribute story books to the classes every week and promote entertainment activities such as watching of relevant documentaries.
“I will collaborate with our School Management to organize competitions among us, prepare us and motivate us to beat other schools in debates and quizzes, especially in Science and Mathematics”, sections of the manifesto read.
Master Akparep Junior also identified good sanitation practices at the school as dear to him and to provide the school with waste bins for proper waste disposal.
“I will also work with the Health Prefect to give us the best of health information to improve our wellbeing. I will collaborate with other prefects to discharge their duties well and fulfill their manifesto promises”, the manifesto added.
According to him, haven served as a class captain at the school “satisfactorily”, he had gathered considerable experiences in leadership which he would leverage to serve the school as the Senior School Prefect.
Master Akparep Junior stated that he would work within his remits to promote peace among the students and to create the enabling environment for teaching and learning to thrive for improved academic performance.

He indicated that he would also leverage his friendly but firm, dedicated, committed and team spirit to support his team and the school Management to leave an enviable legacy in the history of the school.
The Junior High School (JHS) three student would handle the mantle of the student’s leadership of the school for the next one year.
The Headmistress of the school, Madam Mavis Ansah, expressed happiness about the donation, and said it would help promote sporting activities in the school.
She commended Master Akparep Junior and expressed optimism that he would live up to expectation as the Senior School Prefect of the school.
