Saint Francis Xavier Minor Seminary in Wa records two confirmed cases of COVID-19


The Rector of Saint Francis Xavier Minor Seminary, Reverend Father Pamphilio Tengan has confirmed that the school has recorded two confirmed cases of the Coronavirus, COVID-19.


He said the two confirmed cases are students who reported to the school from Wa and Hamile when school resumed on January 15, 2021.


Reverend Father Tengan, who told Info News in an interview in Wa earlier today, added that the two cases were possibly imported from the house as the students were strictly observing the COVID-19 safety protocols.


He said the school has received the Personal Protective Equipment from the government which the students were using.


The Rector stated that the school is not considering sending the students back home as that will rather spread the virus.


He said the school is in touch with the health directorate and other stakeholders to control the incident.


The St. Francis Xavier Minor Seminary currently have 181 student population comprising of the Second and Third years.
