Residents of Maase Elated for a New Health Center

Residents of Maase in the Sigri Electoral Area of the Wa West District of the Upper West Region are elated for the completion and handing over of a Community-based Health and Planning Services, CHPS compound for the community by the Wa West District Assembly.

The Contractor who constructed the facility handed over the completed health center to the District Assembly for onward handing over to the Wa West District Health Directorate. The resident expressed joy in an interview with Info News on the sideline of a short ceremony at the community to hand over the facility.

It could be recalled that about two weeks ago, Info Radio reported on the drudgery residents of Sigri Electoral Area go through to access health care service at Dorimon , distant community with a health center.

However, Speaking to Info News after the handing over of the facility, a resident of the community Madam Dampuori, said the full operationalisation of the facility would help reduce the difficulties community members especially pregnant women go through to access health care services.

The Assembly Member for the Sigri Electoral Area, Yussif Badia Zimbe also said the facility will serve about four communities in the electoral area including neighbouring Burkina Faso.
