Residents of Gbelzieyiri say lack of electricity negatively affects their lives

The people of Gbelzieyiri in the Wa East District have lamented the lack electricity in the community saying it is negatively affecting their lives.

Speaking to Info Radio at the community, Mr. Jato Bakoale, a resident of the community, said if they do not trek to other community to charge their phone they cannot make phone call, particularly in times of emergency.

He added that, sometimes their phones get missing at other communities where they go to charge the phones.

Another resident, Mr. Francis Nounyine, indicated that teachers who were supposed to stay at the teacher’s quarters do not stay because the quarters do not have lights.

He said some teachers always come from other communities on daily basis to teach, but they sometimes, either come late or do not come at all.

They are therefore appealing to government to come and support them with the electricity in their community.
