Ramadan: Traders at Wa central market lament low sales

As the holy month of Ramadan begins, Traders at the Wa central market are still unhappy over the low patronage they are receiving from customers.

They attributed the poor state of their businesses to the country's weak economy and the financial condition of the people in the municipality. The traders, who sell vegetables, grains, and cereals, shared their thoughts in an interview with Info Radio in Wa on Friday.

Some of the traders blamed the situation on the customers’ low purchasing power. They mentioned that due to the current economic situation and the low sales figures, they end up sleeping in the market.

A trader shared her experience of the current Ramadan season, stating that business seems to be slower than in the previous year's Ramadan. She specifically mentioned that sales have not been as high and frequent as they were during the previous year's Ramadan.

But another trader disagreed, saying that although the economy was struggling, she still made sales sometimes.
