People of Tabiasi appeal for assistance to fix deteriorating market

The people of Tabiasi have appealed to authorities to help fix the deteriorating condition of their market which they say is affecting the smooth operation of the market.

They said it becomes muddy and usable when it rains.

They said they have earlier taken steps to gravel it, but said that was not enough to curtail the deterioration.

Speaking to Info Radio at the community, Mujeed Adaayi, a resident, expressed fear that it might get worse if some urgent steps are not taken to fix it.

Mohammed Garibanye said it becomes difficult for vehicles to access the market during the rainy season.

He thus appeals to authorities to come to their aid to fix the market

Meanwhile, some yam farmers at Tabiasi expressed fear of not getting good market for their produce.

Mr Garibanye told Info Radio that the current buyers they have now are shortchanging them since farmers do not have the luxury of choice.

The Tabiasi Market is one of the most vibrant markets that fuels revenue generation drive for the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa (DBI) District Assembly.
