The Parent Association Chairman of Younuuri in the Jagluu Electoral Area of the Wa West District, Mr Nong Saamana, has appealed for support to re-roof their Junior High School block which was ripped off by rainstorm.
According to the Chairman, the JHS students have to take over the KG block as their classrooms while the KG pupils join the class one pupil in one class. He indicated that as a result, the KG pupils do not get effective teaching and learning.
Speaking to Info Radio in the community, Mr Nong said the school was ripped off over two years now but has since not been re-roof.

"We are appealing to the government to help us re-roof this school so that the JHS students can go to their original classroom and the KG pupils can also be in their classroom. That is one of our challenges in this community,” he added.
He indicated that there are so many challenges affecting the school including inadequate staff because there are only 3 trained teachers and 3 volunteers teachers in the school.
He mentioned that some teachers assigned to the school refused to come because the community lacks electricity.
Some parent at the community blamed the teachers for not following up on children who do not attend school while others also blamed the parents and their children.
