Miss Dumba'22: Ayisha takes home "Star Performer"

Ayisha

Wa East stylish performer, Ayisha took home the "Star Performer" award in the ongoing Miss Dumba beauty contest Saturday night.

Miss Ayisha outperformed her contenders on stage as she caught the eyes of judges and audience to win best performer.

Saturday's task for the Miss Dumba queens was to mimic some revered personalities who hail from the Upper West Region.

Ayisha's awarding-winning performance mimicked former Minister of Chieftaincy Affairs and one-time NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Wa East, Dr Henry Seidu Dannah.

Ayisha attributed her rewarding performance to the “will of God” and by dint of hard work, even though she said she expected the feat.

"I thank Allah. I was not very surprised, I expected it," Miss Ayisha said.

Ngmennasong

The award for the "Most Eloquent" queen went to Ngmennasong as her irresistible, smooth voice and audibility melted the hearts of judges and the audience.

Ngmennasong won the same award last week.

Leila

Highly chorused performer, Leila won the award for "Best Costume" as she flaunt the attire of an Islamic cleric which communicated well with the personality she mimicked, and consequently won the favour of judges.

Performances of all other contestants were equally spectacular as they carried their audiences in the light of the play.

Regular judge for the night, Princess Shahida Seidu expressed satisfaction with the performances of the contestants on Saturday night.

She said there have been improvements in their performances as they incorporated judges' advice into their weekly performances.

Princess Shahida urged the contestants to keep learning and adding beauty and form to their performances when on stage.

Meanwhile, some audiences and patrons of the event expressed unhappiness over last night’s performances as they believed there were some disproportions in the times allotted for the contestants to perform on stage.

They urged for equal treatments in subsequent weeks, if Saturday's observed imbalances were out of oversight.
