Kadoli Islamic School gets ultra-modern building complex

The Umuda Kosanlar Foundation, a Turkish humanitarian organization, has commissioned an ultra-modern school complex for the Kadoli community in the Wa municipality.

The 12-unit classroom block fully furnished with modern teaching and learning materials contains 3 classes for Kindergarten, 6 for Primary and 3 for Junior High School, including offices and wash rooms.

The school complex was commissioned on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at a grand ceremony of traditional rulers, chiefs, political heads, educationists, students among others.

Mr. Selman Ozpinar, the Director of the West Africa Humanitarian Aid (WAHA), the Africa office of the Umuda Kosanlar Foundation, said the request for the school was made by the Islamic Education Unit following their visit to the region last year.

The project which was completed in 6 months was to take the children off under the trees where they initially received lessons.

He said the WAHA and its mother organization, Umuda Kosanlar will continue their relations with the schools to ensure that the best quality of education is delivered.

The Headteacher of the Primary School, Mr Adams Awudu expressed gratitude to the Turkish foundation for the ultra-modern school.

He promised that they would put the infrastructure to good use, adding that the teachers would continue to put in their best efforts to make their benefactors proud.

Mallam Abdul-Kassim Ahmed, the Arabic Instructor of the school, said the intervention is a huge relief to them as they used to be distracted by such weather conditions as rain.

While thanking the Islamic Education Unit for its substantial role, he further appealed for more expansive educational infrastructure in the community.
