Jirapa’s Inter-Circuit Quiz Competition Kicks Off Amid Enthusiasm

The St. Joseph Credit Union in Jirapa transformed into an academic battleground as the highly anticipated Inter-Circuit Quiz Competition commenced on Thursday . The quiz is organized by the Jirapa Education Improvement Fund, the event promises to be a fierce contest among the municipality's brightest young minds.

Following a successful preliminary round involving forty-seven public junior high schools across the municipality, the inter-circuit competition is set to elevate the stakes. The contest, scheduled to run over two days at the McNaulty Memorial Hall, will see teams from ten circuits competing for supremacy, with three top circuits from each group progressing to the next stage.

The groups are divided as follows:

Thursday, November 20, 2025 (Group A): Hain, Duori, Jirapa East, Konzokala, Sigri

Friday, November 21, 2025 (Group B): Tizza, Gbare, Jirapa West, Sabuli, Ullo

Each circuit has assembled formidable teams, eager to showcase their knowledge and secure their place in the subsequent rounds. The competition is expected to be intense, with previous performances hinting at a closely fought contest.

The preliminary inter-school quiz within the Jirapa municipality saw notable performances, with some circuits like Duori and Konzokala recording high scores, indicating strong academic prowess. Such results forecast an exciting and competitive inter-circuit phase.

The initiative is spearheaded by the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Peter N. N. To-ang and MP Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah, aims to uplift education standards at the basic level through targeted support, capacity-building, and student incentives. A dedicated board oversees the fund’s disbursement and monitoring, encouraging community involvement through donations and sponsorships.

Local stakeholders, including individuals, businesses, NGOs, and educational institutions, are urged to contribute towards the fund’s growth. Contributions can be made via Fidelity Bank (Account Number: 2090858132618) under the name "Jirapa Education Improvement Fund."

Recent donors include MP Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah, the Jirapa Municipal Assembly, and several philanthropists, all committed to fostering educational excellence in the region.

As the inter-circuit contest unfolds, community members are encouraged to rally behind their teams and support this noble pursuit of academic excellence. Together, with collective effort and resources, Jirapa can restore and elevate the standards of education for its youth.
