Assembly Member for Guo Electoral Area in the Wa West District, Hon Osman Adams has furthered calls by residents of Zanko to improving learning conditions at the Zanko Junior High School (JHS).
Speaking in an interview with Info Radio, Hon Adams explained that the school started with the support of community members and benevolent individuals but the Junior High School is currently without school building.
He however, said that the 3-unit JHS block is part of the Wa West District Assembly Medium Term Development Plan.
The Assembly Members further refuted claims by residents of Asse that he does not visit the community to assess their development concerns.
He intimated that he has been there together with officials of GIZ – German Development Corporation – to assess their development needs.
On the confirmation of DCE for the District Assembly, he called on his fellow Assembly Members to widely consider a range of the development aspirations of the people of the district and confirm the President’s nominee without further delay.
He said this will ensure the timely kick start of the Assembly Development business.
The members of the Wa West District Assembly categorically rejected the DCE nominee, Mr Ali Bukari at his first confirmation but has been re-nominated by the President awaiting a second chance to be confirmed.
