Mr Suleman Mohammed, alias Suleman Baako, a former Upper West Regional Youth Organizer aspirant, has made a modest donation of water to the Upper West Regional Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in support of the youth wing's programs and activities.
The donation which comprised 30 packs of bottled water, according to Mr Suleman Baako, was to help the Youth Wing in the smooth organization of the Upper West session of the National Youth Campaign Tour and Youth Conference.
The campaign tour and youth conference, which aim at mobilizing the youth front and canvassing electoral votes, is set to take place in the Upper West Region from March 7 to March 9, 2024.
The items were received by the Regional Youth Organizer, Mr Hamid Mohammed Saana at the Regional Youth Secretariat on Monday, March 4, 2024.
According to Mr Suleman Baako, the strength of the party remained in the enthusiasm and dedication of the youth and therefore, must be collaboratively harnessed to ensure a decisive victory for the NPP always.
He said that unity and collaboration were key ingredients needed to motivate the youth to work their hearts for the party which is why he has been collaborating with the rank and file of the party to build a formidable front towards election 2024.
Mr Suleman Baako is an astute communicator with impeccable oral and written communication skills who started communicating for the NPP at a very early age and became a favorite radio panellist on socio-political analysis shows.
He is an admirer of the youth as he is always seen with young people whom he is grooming to discover themselves and become successful through his numerous interventions including his annual youth symposium.
Suleman Baako is known for his particular interest in factual and evidence-based politics and as such, an ardent lover of research which earned him the name "Baako" in likeness to veteran journalist, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jr, the editor-in-chief of Ghanaian newspaper, the New Crusading Guide.
In the 2022 internal party elections of the NPP, Mr Suleman Baako put himself up for the position of the Upper Regional Youth Organizer in a very keen contest which he lost to the current Youth Organizer, Mr Hamid Saana.
Mr Baako has, however, never relented in rendering his support and services to the party and has constantly stayed in touch with the youth and members of the party.
Before and following his donation to the youth wing, he has been encouraging the youth to support and patronize the activities and programs of the Youth Secretariat to ensure a resounding victory for the NPP.
"Let me once again take this opportunity to appeal to all our party youth to participate in this program so that together we will break the 8 with Dr. Bawumia, In sha Allah," he urged.
On his part, Mr Hamid Saana expressed gratitude to Mr Baako for the noble gesture and assured him that the items would be put to the intended use.
