The Babile Youth Development Association (BYDA) in partnership with the Lawra Municipal Ghana Education Service (GES) has organized a quiz competition for some Junior High Schools in the Babile circuit.
The quiz competition covered all four core subjects. The Brifoh JHS emerged first in the competition, followed by Babile “B” JHS.
Speaking to Info Radio in Babile, the President of the Babile Youth Development Association, Mr Tengzu Tengan Gregory, said the youth came together to organize the quiz competition to motivate and improve their children's academic performance.
He added that it is also a platform for the youth to educate parents on the need to take their children's education seriously.
Mr Tengzu noted that the quiz competition will be an annual event to help the future generation.
The School Improvement Support Officer for the Babile Circuit, Mr Addison Buure, also called on the head teachers in the Babile Circuit to always engage their students in the quiz competition to help improve their performance.
The Babile Reagent, Mr Kadoe Vitus Dapila, urged all the chiefs in Babile to embrace the initiative.
