Access to Potable Water a Major Challenge to People in Ulkpong

The Assembly Member for Ulkpong Electoral Area in the Jirapa Municipality, Mr Hudi Moro, says access to potable water has been a major challenge to people in his electoral area.

He said though there are few boreholes, they are not enough to meet the needs of the people.

Mr Moro, who said this in an interview with Info Radio, indicated that the electoral area required at least six new boreholes in order to serve the water needs of the people in the area.

“My electoral area is large, we have boreholes but we still have the challenges of water. Right now if you call me and say I should come for six (6) boreholes I’ll be happy.

Some of the boreholes have broken down and we have been able to repair some of them,” he explained.

Mr Moro said he is ready to contest in the upcoming district level elections but that he is doing consultation with the electorate to seek their support.
