"We lose precious lives, we cannot access healthcare services timely" - residents of Tafali

The people of Tafali, a community in the Tuasaa Electoral Rea in the Wa East District, say they have being losing precious lives due to their inability to access timely healthcare services.

They disclosed this in an interview with Info Radio while they expressed lamentations over the challenges they encounter in accessing health care in the community.

They said there is no health facility at the community which forces them to access health care service at other communities.

Mr Haasmuu Alhassan, a resident, told Info Radio at the community that they are losing loved ones due to the usual struggle they go through on daily basis in accessing timely health care services.

Pregnant women, according to him, are not left out in the struggle.

Mr Haasmuu added that they fine them when they don’t reach the nearest health facility with the pregnant women in time before they deliver, which he said, is not their fault.

He therefore appeals to government to come to their aid to provide them a health facility to ease their struggle for health care.
