Wa West MP, Lanchene bemoans falling standards of education in his constituency



The Member of Parliament, MP for the Wa West Constituency, Superintendent (RTD) Peter Lanchene Toobu has bemoaned the falling standard of education in his constituency.


He said education in the constituency was improving previously but that the situation is no longer the same in recent time.


Speaking in an interview with Info Radio, Sup. Toobu added that the situation is compounded by poor the infrastructure base of schools in the constituency.


Commenting on the situation of water, the MP for Wa West said though water is a basic life necessity, his constituents do not have access to potable water.


He told Info Radio that he has already taken a step in his pledge to deal with the situation with the commissioning of a borehole at Dawnye.


In a separate development, Sup. Toobu said lack of electricity in his constituency is a source of worry to him.


He pledged to work meticulously in his capacity as the MP to address some of the challenges of the constituents admitting that, it is difficult to solve all the needs of the constituents at a go.
