Wa West: MP commissioned boreholes for 3 communities

The Member of Parliament, MP for Wa West Constituency, Supt. (Rtd) Peter Lanchene Toobu has commissioned three boreholes for the Temah, Tawonkyile and Tieyiri communities which had difficulty in accessing portable water.

Speaking to the residents at a short ceremony to hand over the boreholes, the MP said the construction of the boreholes was borne out of the need to make water readily available to all as 'water is life'.

He said he was aware of the numerous challenges confronting the constituents including poor telecommunications network among others.

He indulges the constituents to remain patient and support him as he works towards addressing the challenges.

The Chairman for the Water and Sanitation portfolio under “Mini Ghana Project” in the Wa West District, Moses Kyetong, said the MP within his shortest time has commissioned over 18 boreholes and mechanized over 70 boreholes across the entire district within the year.

He therefore urged resident to properly and responsibly maintain the boreholes by inculcating in themselves culture of maintenance.

The residents expressed excitement and appreciation to the MP for the borehole and further appeal to the MP to continue to look in their direction with more development projects.
