Wa East: Residents of Kambali Appeal for Electricity


Residents of Kambali, a community in the Gudaayiri Electoral Area of the Wa East District have appealed to government to come to their aid and provide the community with electricity.


Speaking to Info Radio News at the community, Madam Barikisu Majeedu, a resident, lamented that the unavailability of electricity in their community is adversely affecting them as they are unable to engage in any activity that requires the use of electricity.


She added that their school children find it difficult to learning in the night due to the lack of electricity in the community.


Mr. Banyeng Washew, another resident, indicated that they always trek to other far communities to charge their mobile phones.


He emphasized that the unavailability of electricity in the community has also affected their economic activities in the community.


Mr. Mumuni Adams therefore appealed to the government through the Wa East District Assembly to provide them with electricity to help enhance their social and economic lives.
