“The current state of our health facilities is worrying,” the MP noted. “The scattered settlements, poor road networks, and inadequate health infrastructure make it difficult for both health workers and residents to access timely medical care. This donation is aimed at alleviating some of these challenges.”

Hon. Jasaw also announced plans to equip the Bulenga Health Centre with additional medical apparatus to enable it to perform minor surgical procedures. Furthermore, he pledged to support the upgrade of Bulenga Health Centre to a Polyclinic, a move expected to significantly enhance healthcare accessibility and quality in the district.

In addition, the MP reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding healthcare infrastructure through the ongoing implementation of Agenda 111. He called on the District Chief Executive, Hon. Adamu Sayibu, to prioritize the renovation of Bulenga Health Centre to facilitate its upgrade, as well as similar support for Loggu Health Centre.

“The upgrade of these facilities will not only improve service delivery but also reduce pressure on existing health centers,” Hon. Jesew stated. “Moreover, the government’s initiative to establish and operationalize Health Posts in selected communities will bring healthcare closer to residents, ensuring early intervention and emergency response.”

Representing the community, Naa Yahaya Seidu, Chief of Kombon and spokesperson for the Paramount Chief of Bulenga, expressed gratitude for the donation. He assured that the community would actively monitor and safeguard the equipment, and urged the health facility management to report any challenges for prompt action.

Dr. Benjamin Aminyuure, District Health Director, also lauded the donation, describing it as timely and impactful. He noted that the equipment’s value was substantial and praised Hon. Jesew’s personal commitment to improving healthcare services in the district. Dr. Aminyuure assured that the health items would be effectively utilized to enhance the quality of care for residents.

This donation marks a significant step toward improving healthcare infrastructure and accessibility in Wa East District, aligning with national efforts to expand health services under government initiatives.
