The Wa East District Chief Executive Adamu Sayibu has officially commenced the construction of vital educational facilities in Danyaw Kura, aimed at enhancing learning conditions in the community. The project, a collaborative effort with the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), includes a six-unit classroom block, six teachers’ bungalows, and a six-seater toilet facility.

During a media interview with Info Radio, Mr. Sayibu highlighted that Danyaw Kura faces significant developmental challenges, notably poor road infrastructure and lack of electricity. He emphasized that, despite the community’s diverse needs, the District Assembly has prioritized education infrastructure as an immediate focus, with plans to address other developmental issues in subsequent phases.

The DCE also acknowledged the community’s prominence in mining activities. He revealed that the Assembly is working closely with government agencies to assist residents in obtaining licenses for small-scale mining operations, aiming to formalize and support sustainable mining practices in the area.

This initiative marks a significant step toward improving educational access and overall development in Danyaw Kura, reflecting the district’s commitment to fostering growth and opportunity in the region.
