Upgrading works to commence on selected roads in DBI district – DCE

The Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District Chief Executive, Engineer Nadi Imoro Sanda has assured constituents of steps to undertake upgrading works on some selected roads in the district.

The DCE made this known in an interview with Info Radio over the weekend when he was responding to concerns of residents of Tuori over linking roads in the area.

He said he initiated the grading of the Tuori road and others when he assumed office.

He however said plans are in place to move away from just grading to more lasting and permanent solutions like spot improvement and upgrading.

Eng. Sanda assured the residents of Tuori that their road has been earmarked to benefit from the European Union-Ghana road projects dotted in selected districts of the region of which DBI is a beneficiary.

The DCE said the roads to be worked on under the EU-Ghana road projects are quite a number and that the contractor has identified a place to site his camp to commence the works.

He said the contractor would hopefully start the works in few weeks to few months’ time.
