Residents of Tuupuo, a farming community in the Kuuchileyiri electoral area of the Wa West district have voiced strong dissatisfaction over their exclusion from the Feed Ghana initiative, a government-led program aimed at supporting farmers with farm inputs . During a recent community visit by Info Radio, community members expressed concern that local farmers have not been registered to access the benefits of the scheme.
The residents explained that the lack of access to the program has significantly impacted their agricultural productivity. Many farmers in Tuupuo are struggling to achieve adequate harvests, which in turn hampers their ability to provide for their families and support their children’s education. The community called on stakeholders and relevant authorities to address their concerns urgently and ensure equitable resource distribution to bolster local farming efforts.
The farmers appealed to Info Radio to assist in raising awareness about their plight and to facilitate their registration into the program. They emphasized their readiness to register if opportunities are still available, urging the authorities to include them in future distributions. The community's call underscores the need for inclusive development initiatives that reach all segments of the farming population to promote sustainable growth and community welfare.
