There is significant improvement in healthcare services under my leadership-DCE for DBI

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Daffiama-Bussei-Issa (DBI), Mr Nadi Imoro Sanda says he has made significant improvements to the healthcare services within the district.

He informed Info Radio during an interview at Issa that, prior to his appointment, the district had only one health center.

According to him, he has since added several health centers, including the Issa Polyclinic, to improve the healthcare delivery in the district.

During his acceptance speech as a DCE, Mr Sanda promised to improve the healthcare sector, and he has delivered on that promise by upgrading Kojokperi, Fian, and Bussei CHPS compounds to health centers.

As a result, the district now has four health centers and one polyclinic.

“There is significant improvement in our health sector. Kojokperi, Fian and Bussei CHPS Compounds have all been upgraded to health centers. We now have four health centers and one polyclinic,” he added.

The DCE also stated that he has led the assembly to employ a medical doctor to work at the polyclinic, as there was previously no medical doctor within the district, which was affecting the quality of healthcare delivery.

However, Mr Sanda lamented that the district still lacks enough medical physicians, which affects healthcare delivery in some areas of the district.

Some health centers have been downgraded to CHPS compounds due to the lack of qualified personnel.
