The Chilling Stories of the Defiled Wa School Girls



The story of the mass defilement of the Wa school girls by one suspect is one that has shocked and continues to amaze many residents in the Wa municipality and the region as a whole.

So far, over 30 schoolgirls aged 8–12 have come out to accuse the main suspect, Rashid Anaata, who is currently at large, of defilement.

Information gathered by Info Radio reveals that 18 schoolgirls who have accused the suspect, Rashid Anaata, of defilement have undergone medical examinations to confirm their claim.

Some of the schoolgirls who were alleged to have been defiled by the suspect disclosed that Rashid Anata lured them to his room with the promise of giving them money, biscuits, toffees, and food.

Kodi, a nine-year-old schoolgirl, not her real name, one of the allege victims of defilement, revealed that the suspect, Rashid Anaata, inserted a Vita milk bottle inside her private area after having sexual intercourse with her.

So far, the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations against Sexual and Gender Based Violence has shown enormous interest in the case and is assisting law enforcement agencies to medically examine the allege victims of the mass defilement of the Wa school girls.

Deep throat sources from the law enforcement agencies in the region indicate that the main suspect in the case, Rashid Anaata, is still at large.

The Upper West Police have so far invited the wife of the suspect and a woman who was heard in a viral audio cautioning the suspect to flee for questioning.

Some of the alleged victims of defilement are still traumatized and are in dire need of physical and psychological support to survive the ordeal. The Upper West Department of Gender, Children, and Social Protection has so far supported with cash (GH 5,000) the medical examination fees of ten of the victims.

The cost of a five hundred Ghana cedes (GH 500) medical examination and One Sixty Ghana cedes (GH 60) laboratory test per victim may also be one of the barriers that is hindering more victims from coming out to report their experience with the allege Wa serial pedophile.
