The residents of Jumo, a community in the Wa East District of the Upper West Region, are deeply concerned about the lack of a health facility and the poor state of the only school in their area.

In particular, Ahmed Jumo, a resident, spoke about the absence of a health facility in the community during an interview with Info Radio.

He expressed that the only road connecting the community to the nearest health facility in Buffiama is in terrible condition, which worsens their situation.

Additionally, Mr. Jumo mentioned that the other alternative health facilities are also far from the community.

According to Mr. Jumo, "Our community lacks a hospital, so we have to travel to Buffiama or Funsi whenever we fall ill. However, the poor condition of the roads only exacerbates our condition by the time we reach the health facility.”

Regarding their school, Mr. Jumo stated that irregular teacher attendance is affecting academic activities in the community.

Despite the fact that the community has provided accommodation for teachers in the area, they still do not want to live there.
