Residents of Baleofiili, a community in the Baleofiili electoral area in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region have appealed to the the government through the Wa West District Assembly to provide a facility to the area.

The Assembly Member of Baleofili Electoral Area in the Wa West District, Mr Abdulai Yussif Gizuuri speaking to Info Radio on the issues disclosed that there is no single health facility in his electoral area.

According to him, there are ten communities in his electoral area but there is no health facility for the people to access when they are in need of healthcare services.

The Assembly revealed that residents in need of health care services have to commute seven miles to Wechiau to access primary healthcare, a situation he described as worrying .

He lamented that in the night residents have to go to the district hospital in search of healthcare services especially pregnant women.

According to him, the establishment of a CHPs zone in the area will afford residents the opportunity to easily access healthcare services to avert any possible health complications among residents.
