Red Cross Upper West Branch Reignites Volunteer Spirit Ahead of 2026

The Upper West Regional Branch of the Ghana Red Cross Society has convened a special gathering to honor its volunteers and renew their commitment as it prepares to enter the new year, 2026. The event brought together a diverse group of attendees, including seasoned volunteers, young recruits, partners, and key stakeholders, providing a platform to reflect on the achievements of 2025 and to energize the community for the year ahead.
Regional Chairperson of the Ghana Red Cross Society, Madam Maria Johan Yuorpor, emphasized the importance of the gathering as an opportunity for volunteers to prioritize self-care and reconnect with one another. She highlighted that fostering a strong sense of community and volunteerism remains central to the organization’s mission.
In a message of appreciation, Dr. Edward Donkoh, National President of the Ghana Red Cross Society, commended the dedication and hard work of all volunteers and the executive team. He expressed gratitude for their unwavering commitment and extended warm wishes for a prosperous New Year to all Red Cross members.
The event was also graced by the Upper West Regional Minister and Regional Patron of the Red Cross, Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing, who shared words of encouragement and support for the society’s ongoing efforts.
