Paala Residents Appeal for health facility

Residents of Paala in the Sigri Electoral Area of the Wa West District have appealed to the government to support the community with a health facility to enable them have timely and easy access to quality healthcare.

Fati Dabaala, a resident expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of a health facility near the community forcing them to seek healthcare in distant communities.

“We don’t have health facility and is a worry to us, especially for our pregnant women and children.

If you don’t have money to buy fuel to seek healthcare, it becomes a problem. But if it was here it will reduce our burden”, she lamented.

According to her pregnant women are unable to access antenatal care service at Piise or skill delivery services at Dorimon or Wechiau due to the distance.

“They sometimes deliver on the road due to the lack of health facility in the community”, she added.

Mr Sidik Huudi, another resident in the community also indicated that the deplorable nature of the road is affecting health care delivery in the community.
