NPP Wa Central constituency Women's Wing inaugurated

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Women’s Wing of the Wa Central constituency has been inaugurated and opened an office to enhance the performance of the party’s activities.


The office, funded by the constituency women organizer and supported by the NPP 2020 Parliamentary candidate, Hajia Humu Awudu, would also be used as a training centre for upcoming party members in the constituency.


During the inauguration, all the 200 polling station women organizers across the constituency received skills training in various vocational areas.


The training includes cake soap making, shower gel making, pomade, liquid soap making, and washing powder, among others.

Madam Takora Attawa, the Wa Central Constituency Women’s Organizer who is also the Assembly Member for Konta Electoral Area, noted that the office is open for all party members across the constituency.


She said the skills given to the polling station women’s organizers would strengthen their financial muscles to be able to run campaigns come 2024.


Madam Attawa said her office will continue training young girls in all electoral areas in the constituency to stop the unemployment rate among young people in the constituency.


Mr Osuman Abdul Hamid, NPP Wa Central Constituency Chairman

The NPP Wa Central Constituency Chairman, Mr Osuman Abdul Hamid commended the Women’s Organizer for her effort to bring the women's wing together by creating the office of the Women’s Wing for the party for the first time in the constituency.


He added that every member should play his role effectively in order to seize the Wa Central parliamentary seat from National Democratic Congress (NDC) come 2024.
