NPP Ready to Reclaim Power in 2028, Says Upper West Regional Secretary

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is confident it can win the 2028 general elections following the successful election of its national executives, the party’s Upper West Regional Secretary, Dr Tanko Daniel Dawda, has said.
Speaking to Info Radio, Dr Dawda described the party’s National Delegates Conference, held in Kumasi last Saturday, as a success. More than 7,000 delegates took part in electing officers to 11 national executive positions.
He said the elections were conducted freely and fairly, noting that the acceptance of the results by defeated aspirants reflected confidence in the process.
Dr Dawda added that party members and delegates believe the newly elected executives have the experience and capacity to lead the NPP towards the 2028 polls.
He also explained the party’s plan to identify potential parliamentary candidates ahead of the election. The exercise, he said, is intended to find suitable and electable candidates to contest constituencies on the NPP ticket.
