In the Jirapa Constituency, Mohammed Fuseini, an emerging youth organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on party delegates to rally behind candidates who will foster unity and strengthen the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Speaking exclusively to Info Radio, Mr. Fuseini, who is vying for a leadership position under the Chairman Tie camp, emphasized the importance of unity among party members as a critical factor for reclaiming the Jirapa parliamentary seat and enhancing the party’s electoral prospects.

He urged delegates to prioritize competence over financial inducements, highlighting his team's unwavering commitment to grassroots engagement, even amid challenging circumstances. “Our focus is on building a strong, transparent, and grassroots-driven party that can effectively serve the people and win future elections,” he stated.

Reflecting on the party's recent electoral performance, Mr. Fuseini attributed the NPP’s defeat in the 2024 parliamentary elections to weak grassroots mobilization and a lack of accountability in the management of campaign resources. He promised to champion transparency and ensure that the party selects a formidable candidate for the 2028 polls.

Mr. Fuseini criticized the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing it of failing to deliver on key campaign promises, including the much-touted Big Push initiative and the 24-hour economy policy, which he described as unmet expectations that have affected public confidence.
