Northern Development Authority Provides Health Facility for Residents of Danlanyiri


Residents of Dalanyiri, a farming community in the Wa West District have lauded the Northern Development Authority for bringing health care access to their doorstep.


The NDA as part of its infrastructure for poverty eradication project IPEP , constructed a health facility for the community to enable residents to easily access health care services .


Commissioning the health facility at the community, some residents of Danlanyiri speaking to Info Radio disclosed that, before the health Facility was constructed , they used to trek lonh kiliometers to Kalibe or Wechiau to access healthcare services.

The residents applauded the Northern Development Authority for providing them with health facility and nurse accommodation.

They have thus also appealed to the NDA to provide the health facility with a borehole to enable health workers stationed at the facility have easy access to portable water.


The Regional Coordinator of the Northern Development Authority in the Upper West Region Madam Maria Johana Yorpour at the commissioning ceremony stated that the Dalanyiri health facility is part of the 44 projects which are completed and are being handed over to the beneficiary communities to start using them.

Madam Maria Johana Yorpour revealed that Danlayiri Health Facility project is under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication project IPEP and one 1 million per constituency flagship program of the government of Ghana.

The Wa West District Health Director Madam Cecilia Kakariba at the event urged residents of Dalanyiri to always attend the facility and make good use of the facility.
