The Assembly Member for the Loggu Electoral Area Mr. Abdul-Sharkuu Iddrisu, has sounded the alarm over the alarming surge in insecurity that has gripped his community. The once-peaceful neighborhood is now shadowed by a wave of armed robberies, leaving residents in a state of palpable fear and distress.
Mr. Iddrisu did not hold back as he painted a stark picture of the chaos unfolding in Loggu. "Our people are living in constant fear," he declared passionately. "The rise in criminal activities is not just threatening our lives but also crippling our daily routines and economic progress." Businesses are shuttering their doors early, public service delivery is suffering, and the community's sense of safety is evaporating before their eyes.
With unwavering resolve, the Assembly Member is calling on the Upper West Regional Police Commander to take immediate, decisive action. He urges the deployment of more police officers to patrol the area regularly, aiming to restore confidence and curb the tide of lawlessness.
But Mr. Iddrisu’s commitment goes beyond words. He and his unit committee members, alongside the entire community, are mobilizing resources and collaborating closely with the Ghana Police Service to confront this crisis head-on. Their collective determination underscores a community united in hope and resilience, refusing to surrender to fear.
This urgent appeal underscores a critical need for swift action to protect the lives and livelihoods of Loggu residents. The time to act is now—our community’s safety depends on it.
