Lawra MP donates computers to Lawra Municipal Education Directorate

The Member of Parliament for Lawra Constituency, Lawyer Bede A. Ziedeng has donated four computers to the Lawra Municipal Education Directorate under his priority vision of supporting education.


The computers, four desktop sets, will further be distributed among the Lawra Senior High School, Brifoh Senior High School, Eremon Senior High Technical and the office of the education directorate to facilitate work and teaching in the Municipality.


He also donated two sets of sporting jerseys and two volleyballs to the Babile Circuit to enhance physical education as well as a laptop computer to the Municipal Federation of Disabilities to facilitate data and record keeping.


Speaking at a short ceremony to hand over the items, the MP said even though his vision is to improve education in the constituency but he does not neglect some areas like water and health, among others.


According to the MP, the computers and the sporting packages are funded from his Common fund and the laptop computer is from his pocket.


The Lawra Municipal Education Director, Madam Paulina Azanbawu, run short of words to thank the honourable Member of Parliament than to ask God to bless and replenish for him.


The Headmaster of the Lawra Senior High School, Mr. Seidu Tungbani, on behalf of his colleague headmasters and mistress appreciated the gesture of donation from the Lawra lawmaker.


He also made a passionate appeal to the Member of Parliament for more computers to support in learning Information Communication and Technology (ICT) at his school.
