The Member of Parliament for Lawra Constituency, Hon Lawyer Bede A. Ziedeng has cut sod for the reconstruction of the Lawra-Han road.
“Making the Municipality accessible to each other through good roads is one of the basic needs for economic and social growth of any community.
“With this in mind, making all economic roads accessible in the Lawra municipality is my key priority,” Lawyer Ziedeng said.
Lawyer Ziedeng on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, cut sod for the reconstruction of the road at Yagtuur, in line with this vision.
The MP, thus, explained the importance of the road and brought to light its economic benefit to the people of the Municipality and its surrounding as related to their nature of work.
He assured commuters and residents that the road would be completed to make ease the movement of goods and services.
The Member of Parliament, therefore, urged the contractor to consider road users to be able to still access the Municipality and do their business while work is in progress.
The Upper West Regional Roads Maintenance Manager for the Ghana Highways Authority, Engineer Solomon Adjei indicated that the road is about 45 Kilometers and will cost an amount of GHC14, 838,636.00 and is expected to finish within a year.
